Akhtar added that many human rights violations are structural and often backed by those in power. She acknowledged the role of the National Human Rights Commission in documenting abuses under what she called a "fascist regime." She also emphasized the media’s role in preventing mob violence and called for identifying the root causes behind such incidents.
