At least 50 people were injured on Monday in a violent clash between two rival groups over the position of chairman of Baroiuri Union Parishad in Baniachong upazila of Habiganj district. A man named Sujon Mia, aged 22, allegedly killed his wife, 20-year-old Samina Akter Sammi, early Monday morning in the Sheikhhati Tamaltala area of Jashore Sadar upazila.
