A Dhaka court has ordered that Mehedi Hasan be sent to jail in connection with a case over setting fire to copies of the Islamic commentary book 'Tafheemul Quran' near Dhaka University. The Chattogram Education Board has postponed Saturday’s Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examination because of severe flooding and deteriorating weather conditions. The decision was announced on Friday through an official notice signed by Professor Md. Parvez Sajjad Chowdhury, the board’s controller of examinations. The postponed test was the Information and Communication Technology subject, code 275, scheduled for Saturday across all districts under the board.

According to the notice, the new date for the postponed exam will be announced later.
