A man named Mizanur Rahman, also known as Roni, who was accused in six criminal cases, was beaten to death in public at Kabirhat upazila of Noakhali on Saturday night. The attack occurred around 10:30 p.m. near Kazi Bari in Kalirhat market area under Narottampur Union. After the killing, a group of youths reportedly distributed sweets in the market, calling the deceased a robber, which sparked widespread discussion in the area.
