BNP leader Khairul Kabir Khokon has stated that the nation is unsafe in the hands of unelected individuals. Speaking at a political event, Khokon urged that power be restored to the people.
He alleged that fascist forces and their allies have siphoned off 30 trillion taka from Bangladesh, attempting to destabilize the country with the funds.
Khokon further criticized the lack of coordination among government advisers and cited deteriorating law and order and dwindling foreign investment as key concerns. Referring to Bangladesh’s democratic history, he said, “Even after the fall of the autocratic regime in 1990, elections were held within three months. But now, even after ten months, there’s no election roadmap.”
