BNP candidate Amir Ejaz Khan has been unofficially declared the winner in the Khulna-1 constituency during Bangladesh’s 13th national parliamentary election. His main rival, Jamaat-e-Islami candidate Krishna Nandi, lost by more than 50,000 votes. According to the unofficial results announced on Thursday evening, Amir Ejaz Khan received 120,092 votes, while Krishna Nandi secured 69,658.

Voting for the 13th national parliamentary election began at 7:30 a.m. and continued until 4:30 p.m. across 42,779 polling centers nationwide. Alongside the parliamentary election, a national referendum was also held on the same day. The results from Khulna-1 were among the first to be reported in the evening.

The unofficial outcome indicates a decisive victory for the BNP candidate in Khulna-1, reflecting a significant margin over his Jamaat opponent. Official confirmation of the results is expected following the completion of the national vote count.
