The arrests mark one of Iran’s largest security operations since the country entered into conflict with Israel and the United States.

Reports from Iranian media indicated that over 1,000 people have been detained this month on charges of filming sensitive sites, sharing anti-government content online, or cooperating with hostile entities. Police stated that the arrests followed recent intelligence and technical surveillance operations.
