The 11-party alliance has announced a march toward the National Parliament with families of victims of enforced disappearance to mark Disappearance Day. The programme is scheduled for Sunday, the 30th, at 3pm. Jamaat-e-Islami Assistant Secretary General Hamidur Rahman Azad announced the plan at a Wednesday press conference in the capital.

The press conference was held at the government residence of the opposition leader at 29 Minto Road. Azad said that many people had previously been subjected to enforced disappearance and killings outside the judicial process, and that these cases had not yet received justice.

National Citizen Party convener and opposition chief whip Md Nahid Islam attended the event, along with leaders from different parties in the 11-party alliance. The alliance said the march would include family members of those who were subjected to enforced disappearance.
