Three young men were killed in a head-on collision between two motorcycles on the Gopalganj-Tekerhat regional highway in Gopalganj. The crash occurred in front of Bedepalli on Friday night. The victims were Achintya Kundu, 25, of Sindiaghat in Muksudpur; Ujjal Barai, 35, of Purba Nagardi in Rajoir, Madaripur; and Faisal Bepari, 20, of Goalakandi.

Sub-Inspector Shamim Al Mamun of the Boultali police investigation centre confirmed the incident. He said the men were travelling toward Gopalganj on one motorcycle when it collided head-on with another motorcycle travelling toward Tekerhat. Achintya Kundu died at the scene, while Ujjal Barai and Faisal Bepari were seriously injured.

Police from the Boultali investigation centre recovered the body and admitted the injured men to an upazila health complex. Faisal Bepari was sent to Dhaka for advanced treatment but died on the way. Ujjal Barai died while receiving treatment at Rajoir Upazila Health Complex. Police handed over the bodies of all three victims to their families on Saturday after completing their investigation.
