Two college students were killed in a collision between a motorcycle and a private car on the 300 Feet Road, also known as the July 36 Expressway, in Rupganj on Sunday afternoon. The accident occurred around 1 p.m. near the Jolsiri intersection. The victims were identified as Rifat, aged 21, and Sakib, aged 19, both from Bancharampur in Brahmanbaria and students of a local college.

According to Kanchan Highway Police Camp officer-in-charge Sohel Rana, the private car was turning at the intersection when a high-speed motorcycle coming from Kanchan toward Kuril hit it. The riders were thrown off the bike, and the driver became trapped with the car. They were taken to Kurmitola General Hospital and later to Dhaka Medical College Hospital, where doctors declared them dead. Police said the motorcycle was traveling at very high speed.

Both the car and the motorcycle have been seized. The car driver fled the scene after the crash, while the driver and another passenger in the car sustained injuries. The bodies have been kept at the hospital morgue for autopsy.
