In Rangpur’s Taraganj, authorities seized 26 drums of sweets stored unhygienically in a potato cold storage intended for Eid sales. A joint raid by the military and Upazila administration uncovered the illegal storage at Brothers Storage in Bangalipur. The seized sweets were destroyed, and four businessmen were fined a total of 50,000 taka for violating health regulations. Officials emphasized that sweets should not be kept in cold storage due to health risks.
