Scotland and Morocco are set to face off in a high-stakes Group C match of the 2026 FIFA World Cup at Gillette Stadium on Saturday at 4 a.m. The match holds major significance for both teams in their pursuit of a knockout stage berth. Scotland currently top the group after a 1–0 win over Haiti, courtesy of a first-half goal from John McGinn. Although their performance was not dominant, the victory boosted confidence for Steve Clarke’s squad. A win against Morocco would secure Scotland’s first-ever appearance in the knockout stage of a major international tournament. If Brazil fail to beat Haiti, Scotland could even advance as group champions.

Morocco, meanwhile, drew 1–1 with Brazil in their opening match, with Ismael Saibari scoring before Vinicius Junior equalized. The 2022 World Cup semifinalists are again seen as dark horses in this tournament. A win would not guarantee Morocco’s qualification but would strengthen their position in the race for the last sixteen.

Historically, Morocco hold the edge, having defeated Scotland 3–0 in their only previous World Cup meeting in 1998. Despite Morocco’s stronger form on paper, Scotland’s fighting spirit is expected to make the contest fiercely competitive.
