A case has been filed against 39 individuals in connection with the lynching of Labor Party leader Md. Raju (35) in Lakshmipur, following allegations of mobile phone theft. Police have arrested four suspects—Kabir Hossain, Ibrahim Khalil, Liton Hossain, and Rekha Begum—who have been sent to prison.
According to local sources, the incident took place around 2:30 AM in Char Ruhita Union, where Raju was brutally beaten near Kajol Company’s brick kiln. He was accused of theft after allegedly entering Kabir’s house, leading to his fatal assault.
