Jamaat-e-Islami, the main opposition party in parliament, will release its 'shadow budget' for the 2026–27 fiscal year on Tuesday. The announcement will take place at a press conference at the Al Falah Auditorium in Dhaka’s Moghbazar area. The event will be attended by the party’s top leaders, including Opposition Leader and Jamaat Ameer Shafiqur Rahman, according to Assistant Secretary General and head of the central media and publicity department, Ehsanul Mahbub Jubair.

Earlier, on Friday, the National Congress Party (NCP), a partner in the Jamaat-led 11-party alliance, also presented its own shadow budget. That proposal divided the national economy into 12 sectors and included 71 recommendations. The upcoming Jamaat presentation is expected to outline the party’s alternative fiscal priorities and policy directions ahead of the government’s official budget announcement.
