Last Tuesday, during a speech in the U.S. Congress, Trump once again expressed interest in purchasing the Danish territory. On Monday, he posted on Truth Social, saying, “We will keep Greenlanders safe, invest billions of dollars, and create new jobs.” In response, Prime Minister Egede stated in an interview that Greenland expects respect and dignity, calling Trump’s behavior both unacceptable and shocking.
