France concluded their World Cup group stage campaign in dominant fashion, defeating Norway 4-1 to secure first place in their group. Ousmane Dembélé led the charge with a stunning hat-trick completed within 32 minutes, marking the second-fastest hat-trick in World Cup history. Norway, missing star striker Erling Haaland, struggled to contain France’s relentless attack, while Kylian Mbappé featured in the starting lineup for Didier Deschamps’ side.

Dembélé opened the scoring in the seventh minute and doubled the lead in the 20th before Thelonius Asgaard briefly revived Norway’s hopes with a goal a minute later. However, Dembélé completed his hat-trick with a curling left-footed strike from Aurélien Tchouaméni’s assist. In the second half, Norway earned a penalty after Oscar Bobb was fouled, but Jørgen Strand Larsen’s weak attempt was saved by French goalkeeper Mike Maignan.

Desire Doué sealed the victory with a stoppage-time goal, confirming France’s top spot in the group and sending the reigning runners-up confidently into the knockout stage.
