Tarique Rahman, acting chairman of BNP, contacted the grieving family of JCD activist Apurba (25), who was fatally stabbed in Narayanganj while attempting to stop a dispute. Expressing condolences, Rahman reassured Apurba’s parents that many BNP activists had suffered deaths, disappearances, and brutal persecution while resisting injustice. He urged authorities to swiftly arrest the perpetrators. Apurba’s father lamented that their family had been subjected to 16 years of harassment for their BNP affiliation.
