Barrister Kaiser Kamal, Secretary General of the Nationalist Lawyers’ Forum, has demanded strict legal action against former Chief Justice A.B.M. Khairul Haque, whom he blamed for destroying democracy and human rights in Bangladesh.
Kamal announced that protest rallies will be held across the country’s courts on Tuesday, calling for Haque’s immediate arrest and trial.
Advocate Zainul Abedin added that partisan judges still remain in various levels of the judiciary and called for their swift removal.
