RAB-11 recovered a Type-54 (7.62) pistol looted from a police station during the 2024 mass uprising from an unfinished building in Fatullah, Narayanganj. The weapon was recovered at about 12:30am on Saturday from the Kathpul area under Fatullah police station, according to RAB-11 Company Commander Lieutenant Commander Nayeem Ul Haq.

RAB said the unfinished building had been used as a gathering place for muggers and drug users. Several people who were present at the site fled quickly after detecting the presence of RAB personnel. The force then searched the building and recovered the firearm.

Along with the pistol, the search recovered one magazine, four CCTV cameras, two slingshots and a hand microphone. RAB said the pistol was among weapons looted from a police station during the July mass uprising. Lieutenant Commander Nayeem Ul Haq said the recovered weapon and other evidence had been handed over to Fatullah police station for further legal action.
