An elderly man named Md. Hafiz Uddin, aged 74, was killed after being struck by a speeding autorickshaw in Hossainpur upazila of Kishoreganj. The accident occurred on Wednesday morning in the Purba Dipeshwar area of the municipality. Hafiz Uddin was the son of the late Aftab Uddin from the same village.

According to local sources, the incident took place when Hafiz Uddin was crossing a road near his house and was hit by the autorickshaw, dying on the spot. Hossainpur Police Station Officer-in-Charge Muhammad Rashedul Islam confirmed the incident and said that police were sent to the scene. Legal procedures are currently underway.

Authorities have not yet provided further details about the driver or the vehicle involved, and the investigation remains in progress.
