Mustafa Jamal Haider, the chief coordinator of the 12-Party Alliance, stated that the alliance seeks to ensure that state power is in the hands of the elected representatives of the people. He emphasized the need for a national consensus as soon as possible, pointing out that political differences are natural in a democracy. Ali Riaz mentioned that discussions for a national consensus with political parties would conclude by May 15th.
