At the Bangladesh-Japan Joint Public-Private Partnership Meeting in Tokyo, Bangladesh expressed strong hope that Japan would continue its valuable support for the country’s infrastructure development efforts. The Bangladesh delegation was led by Chief Secretary to the Chief Adviser, M Siraj Uddin Mia, while Japan was represented by Vice Minister Hirofumi Amakawa and Yosuke Tsutsumi.

Key projects discussed at the meeting included the third terminal of Shahjalal International Airport, the Chattogram Sewerage Project, the Local Bridge Development Project, and the Kamalapur Multi-Modal Transport Hub. Siraj Uddin Mia emphasized that the successful implementation of these projects would have a positive impact on Bangladesh’s economy and reaffirmed Dhaka’s commitment to bringing them to fruition.
