Government employees held a protest march inside the Secretariat on Sunday against controversial provisions in the amended Public Service Ordinance 2025. The protestors demanded the removal of what they termed "draconian and black" clauses. Failing to meet the legal adviser, they met with the Law Secretary, who assured that their concerns would be reviewed sympathetically. Public Administration Senior Secretary Mokhlesur Rahman stated, "No ordinance will be finalized without discussions with employee representatives." Notably, the ordinance includes a clause requiring the trial of accused public servants within 25 days.
