Hasnat Abdullah, chief organizer of the National Citizens Party (NCP) and Member of Parliament for Cumilla-4 (Debidwar), declared that there will be no place for fascism in the new Bangladesh. Speaking on Tuesday afternoon at a ‘July March and Street Rally’ organized by the NCP at the Central Shaheed Minar in Chitalmari, Bagerhat, he said the party aims to build a country where farmers, workers, and laborers enjoy equal rights. Abdullah emphasized that young people have shed blood to end fascism and called for public cooperation in nation-building.

He noted that six NCP members currently represent the people in parliament and expressed the party’s ambition to expand its representation. Addressing the BNP, Abdullah urged the implementation of the July Charter, saying it must honor the people’s referendum. He also stated that the people of Bangladesh rejected the Sheikh family’s leadership through the August 5 uprising.

During the rally, Abdullah introduced Istiaq Hossain Jami as the NCP candidate for Chitalmari Upazila chairman and sought votes for him. The event concluded with a July March through the main roads of Chitalmari.
