Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed stated that recognizing good work by police officers will enhance their morale and make the force more dynamic. He made the remarks on Monday at a press conference held in the conference room of the Ministry of Home Affairs at the Secretariat.

The minister explained that the event was organized to inform the public about the efforts and dedication of the police in meeting citizens’ expectations. He emphasized that recognition would encourage officers to perform their duties with integrity and strengthen the rule of law. Ahmed added that the ministry aims to further boost the police force’s motivation and efficiency.

According to the minister, 15 police officers have been honored for their roles in three recent incidents, including the Ramisa murder case, the actions of the river police in Daulatdia, and the arrest of four suspects in a gang rape case in Munshiganj. Each officer received 20,000 taka, a certificate of honor, and some were awarded badges.
