BNP leader Mir Helal described acting party chairman Tarique Rahman as a principled and patriotic leader whose vision is solely focused on Bangladesh. Helal claimed that detractors lack the political strength to counter Rahman’s ideology. He accused certain groups of trying to destabilize the nation but assured that all communities are safe under BNP leadership. He expressed hope that under Rahman’s leadership, Bangladesh will become a model of communal harmony, following the principles of the late President Ziaur Rahman.
