Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman has won the Dhaka-15 parliamentary seat by a margin of 20,725 votes, according to the party’s election management committee member Zahidul Islam. The results were announced following the counting of ballots across 127 polling centers in the constituency.

According to the official tally, Dr. Shafiqur Rahman, who contested under the party’s scale symbol, secured 82,645 votes. His closest rival, BNP candidate Shafiqul Islam Khan Milton, received 61,920 votes under the paddy sheaf symbol. The results confirm Dr. Rahman’s victory in the constituency.

The report also noted that Jamaat candidates have shown strong performances in other constituencies, with Zainul Islam winning in Dhaka-4 and Ishraq securing a large-margin victory in Dhaka-6. The party has warned of strong movements against those allegedly conspiring over the election results.
