Khokon Chandra Barman, who lost his eye and suffered severe facial injuries during the July uprising, gave a dramatic testimony on Sunday at the International Crimes Tribunal. He accused Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and senior leaders including Obaidul Quader (referred to as “Kaua Quader”), Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal, Shamim Osman, and Abdullah Al Mamun of orchestrating violence that killed “thousands.” Khokon was among the first witnesses to testify against Hasina, holding her directly responsible for the violence. His first reconstructive surgery was successfully completed in Russia in April 2025.
