The United States and Israel began attacks in Iran on Saturday, resulting in the death of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. The US Central Command released video footage showing warplanes taking off from naval vessels and destroyers launching missiles toward Iranian military targets. The footage, shared on social media platform X, depicted intense strikes carried out by US forces.

Following the attacks, US President Donald Trump warned Iran against launching retaliatory strikes. In a post on his social media platform Truth Social, Trump stated that Iran should avoid counterattacks, warning of unprecedented force if it did. The Iranian leadership had earlier vowed to take strong revenge after Khamenei’s death.

International reactions followed, with Russian President Vladimir Putin calling Khamenei’s killing a severe violation of international law, while North Korea described the assault on Iran as an “illegal aggression.”
