The warning came after a 5.7-magnitude quake struck Bangladesh on Friday, leaving experts concerned about the frequency of seismic activity. According to Dr. Mehedi Ahmed Ansari of BUET, Bangladesh has long been at high risk of earthquakes and is divided into three seismic zones, with Zone-1 being the most vulnerable. The Earthquake Monitoring Centre’s acting officer, Rubaiyat Kabir, urged preparedness and vigilance.
