Culture Minister Nitai Roy Chowdhury said Prime Minister Tarique Rahman will inaugurate the July Mass Uprising Memorial Museum at 9 a.m. on August 5. Speaking at a press conference at the Cultural Affairs Ministry conference room in the Secretariat on Tuesday, he said the prime minister will formally open the museum by unveiling its plaque as chief guest. The museum will be reserved for special guests and martyrs' families on inauguration day.

After the opening, the prime minister will visit the museum's galleries and exhibitions, including preserved artifacts, photographs, documents and memorabilia. The minister described the July Mass Uprising as an unforgettable milestone in Bangladesh's anti-fascist democratic struggle. He said the museum was established to preserve its memories, present the history of the struggle to new generations, and commemorate the sacrifices of martyrs and July fighters.

July fighters and members of martyrs' families will speak at the event. A documentary on the uprising's events, public participation and history of victory will be screened, followed by patriotic songs, recitations and performances. Government officials, diplomats, academics, cultural figures and other guests are expected to attend. The museum will open to the public from Thursday, August 6, with online tickets priced at 50 taka for adults and 25 taka for children.
