BNP candidate Ariful Haque Chowdhury has been unofficially declared the winner in the Sylhet-4 constituency, which includes Companiganj, Gowainghat, and Jaintapur. According to the unofficial results announced on Thursday night by Returning Officer and District Commissioner Md. Sarwar Alam, Ariful Haque secured 186,846 votes under the paddy sheaf symbol. His nearest rival, Jamaat-e-Islami candidate Md. Zainal Abedin, received 71,391 votes.

The announcement came as part of broader election results across several constituencies, where BNP candidates achieved notable victories. In Madaripur, BNP won two out of three seats, while Khelafat Majlish took one. In Naogaon, BNP secured five seats and Jamaat one. In Pabna-5, BNP’s Shamsur Rahman Shimul Biswas won, and in Patuakhali, BNP captured three out of four seats, with Jamaat winning one.

These unofficial results indicate a strong showing for BNP across multiple districts, though official confirmation from the Election Commission is still pending.
