NCP leader Abdul Hannan Masud faced disruptions during a scheduled roadside rally. In response, he immediately staged a sit-in protest on the street. According to NCP’s Hatia representative Yusuf, a group of 30-40 individuals intervened while Masud was addressing the gathering. Clashes broke out as Masud’s supporters retaliated. They accused local BNP activists of orchestrating the disruption. Meanwhile, BNP’s Upazila Joint General Secretary Lutfullahil Majid Nishan stated that a BNP protest march had coincidentally crossed paths with Masud’s rally after a local BNP leader, Abdur Rob, was assaulted in the evening. This led to a brief moment of tension, but the situation is now under control.
