Three people were killed and four others were seriously injured when a microbus lost control and crashed into a roadside tree on the Chattogram-Cox’s Bazar highway in Lohagara upazila on Tuesday morning. The accident occurred around 8 a.m. near Kabir Auto Block Bricks in the Jangalia area. Locals rescued the injured and took them to the upazila health complex, from where doctors referred them to Chattogram Medical College Hospital for advanced treatment.

According to local sources, the Ex Noah microbus was traveling at high speed from Cox’s Bazar to Khagrachhari when it lost control and veered off the road, hitting the tree. The collision killed three people on the spot. Police from Dohazari Highway Station visited the scene, took the vehicle into custody, and stated that the bodies would be handed over to the families after legal formalities.

Authorities have begun legal procedures related to the accident, and the injured remain under medical care.
