The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has permanently expelled three local leaders from all party positions for violating organizational discipline. The decision was announced on Saturday, February 14, 2026, through a notice signed by Uzirpur Upazila BNP President Md. Shahin Hawlader and General Secretary Md. Lavlu Hossain. The expelled leaders are accused of not supporting the party’s nominated candidate in the 13th National Parliamentary Election and of assisting a rival candidate in the Barishal-2 constituency, which includes Uzirpur and Banaripara.

According to the official statement, the three expelled leaders are Md. Harun Dafadar, General Secretary of Ward No. 5 BNP in Guthia Union; Md. Jamal Molla, Vice President of Ward No. 7 BNP; and Md. Shahid Bepari, Organizational Secretary of Ward No. 3 BNP. Upazila BNP sources said the disciplinary process was completed on February 13, the day after the election, and the expulsion was finalized to maintain party discipline and strengthen the organization.

The announcement underscores the BNP’s internal enforcement of discipline following the national election and its effort to consolidate party unity at the local level.
