Students of Rajshahi University staged a large protest on Thursday night demanding justice for the killing of Sharif Osman Hadi, a spokesperson of the Inquilab Manch. The demonstration began at the university’s Zoha Chattar around 10:30 p.m. and later moved toward the city, with participants chanting slogans calling for immediate punishment of those responsible.

During the protest, student leaders from various groups, including the Rajshahi University Central Students’ Union (RACSU) and Islami Chhatra Shibir, delivered fiery speeches criticizing the ruling Awami League and calling for diplomatic and political actions if justice is delayed. Demonstrators later gathered in front of the local Awami League office, where reports indicated vandalism and threats to demolish the building.

The incident reflects growing campus unrest and political polarization following Hadi’s murder. Authorities have yet to issue an official statement, while tensions remain high in Rajshahi as student groups plan further demonstrations, including a possible siege of the Indian High Commission.
