Former members of the disbanded Bangladesh Rifles (BDR) staged a protest at Kakrail Mosque intersection, demanding reinstatement, compensation, revisions to the 2009 Pilkhana massacre investigation, and the release of detained members. As they marched toward Jamuna, police used water cannons and sound grenades to disperse the crowd. Several people were injured and arrested during clashes between protesters and law enforcement.
