Recent viral social media posts have claimed that Bangladeshi woman Rutba Yasmin is set to become the first Bangladeshi to land on the Moon. However, a Factwatch investigation has debunked these claims as misleading.

Rutba only participated in a three-day simulation workshop called ‘Moon Pioneer Mission,’ organized by Space Nation and led by a former NASA astronaut. It was designed to give participants a realistic space mission experience — but does not involve an actual Moon landing. Factwatch has confirmed that the viral posts are deceptive.
