Independent candidate Atikul Alam Shawon has been unofficially declared the winner in the Comilla-7 (Chandina) constituency during Bangladesh’s 13th National Parliamentary Election. The results were announced late Thursday night, February 12, 2026, at the Chandina Upazila Parishad auditorium by Assistant Returning Officer and Upazila Nirbahi Officer Mohammad Ashraful Haque after counting results from 105 polling centers.

According to the announced results, Shawon, who contested with the pitcher symbol, received 90,819 votes. His nearest rival, BNP-nominated candidate Dr. Redwan Ahmed, secured 47,925 votes with the paddy sheaf symbol. Candidates from other parties included Maulana Sulaiman Khan of Khelafat Majlis with 24,597 votes, Maulana Ehteshamul Haque Kasemi of Islami Andolan Bangladesh with 14,080 votes, and Sajal Kumar Kar of Sangskritik Muktijote with 259 votes.

The constituency had a total of 329,166 registered voters, with a turnout rate of 56.35 percent, amounting to 182,274 votes cast. A total of 4,594 votes were declared invalid.
