Sarjis Alam, chief organizer of the National Citizen Party (NCP) for the northern region, submitted his wealth statement to the Election Commission ahead of the upcoming parliamentary election. The affidavit shows that he owns no house, car, or building, and holds less than Tk 350,000 in cash. He reported Tk 311,128 in cash and Tk 100,000 deposited in banks and financial institutions. He owns 16.5 decimals of agricultural land received as a donation, valued at Tk 500,000 in the current market.

According to the affidavit, Alam earns Tk 900,000 annually from business and holds a master’s degree. He declared one ongoing legal case under investigation. His furniture and electronic goods are valued at Tk 75,000 each, and he owns no firearms, bonds, or shares. The 2025–2026 income tax return shows a total income of Tk 2.8 million and total assets worth Tk 3.37 million, against which he paid Tk 52,500 in taxes.

The affidavit provides a detailed picture of Alam’s modest financial position as he prepares for the national election.
