A man named Mohammad Azad, aged 30, was seriously injured when stones were thrown at a moving train in Brahmanbaria. The incident occurred around 8:45 p.m. on Sunday near the Collegepara area as the Sylhet–Dhaka-bound Parabat Express passed through. According to a passenger, Azad was seated in the 'Dh' coach when a stone hurled from outside broke through the window and struck his head. Fellow passengers provided him with initial assistance after the attack.

Brahmanbaria Railway Police outpost in-charge Sub-Inspector Shah Alam said police were dispatched to the scene after receiving the report. An investigation has begun to identify those responsible, with searches underway in nearby areas. The attack marks another instance of stone-throwing at trains in the district.

Earlier, on June 22, miscreants had thrown stones at the Chattogram-bound Turna Nishitha train near Talshahar station in Brahmanbaria, injuring a passenger inside. Police are treating the latest incident as part of a recurring safety concern on this route.
