The Bangladeshi government is facing an additional expenditure of BDT 150.56 billion ($1.3 billion) for six major projects. Initially estimated at BDT 128.32 billion, the costs surged due to delays. The projects include Payra Seaport's first terminal, Shah Amanat International Airport’s runway upgrade, the Sayedabad Water Treatment Plant (Phase-3), the Bangladesh-China Friendship Exhibition Center, the expansion of the road from Panchabati to Mukterpur Bridge, and the construction of 10 government secondary schools in Dhaka.
