At least 32 people were killed and more than 100 injured in road accidents across 14 districts of Bangladesh within 24 hours, from 8 a.m. on Eid day to 8 a.m. the following day. The highest number of casualties occurred in Cumilla, where a passenger bus collided with a train at a level crossing in Paduar Bazar Bishwaroad area, killing 12 people. Fatalities were also reported in Habiganj, Feni, Mymensingh, Natore, Chattogram, Jhenaidah, Narail, Chuadanga, Faridpur, Narayanganj, Gopalganj, and Madaripur.

In Cumilla, police and medical officials confirmed the deaths, noting that the train dragged the bus to Jangalia station after the collision. In Feni, a three-vehicle crash involving a bus, ambulance, and motorcycle killed three people. Separate incidents in Jhenaidah, Natore, and Mymensingh claimed multiple lives, including schoolchildren. Local authorities and emergency services were engaged in rescue operations and hospital transfers for the injured.

Reports indicate that most accidents occurred on major highways during Eid travel, with several victims yet to be identified. Authorities are continuing investigations and rescue efforts in affected areas.
