A tragic accident occurred at the ‘Messrs Bold Bricks’ brick kiln in Sarupdah area of Monirampur upazila, Jashore, where a worker named Zakir Morol, 45, was killed after being trapped in a brick-making machine. Fire Service and police personnel recovered parts of his body after a three-hour rescue effort. Zakir, a resident of Munshikhampur village, had been working at the kiln for about two years. According to the kiln owner, the incident happened when Zakir was cleaning the machine during the afternoon. Authorities have assured support for the victim’s family. Police confirmed that the body was handed over to the family after completing legal formalities.
