The government has declared a one-day state of mourning on Tuesday to honor the victims of Monday’s tragic air force jet crash at Milestone School and College in Uttara.

All government, semi-government, autonomous institutions, and Bangladeshi missions abroad will fly the national flag at half-mast. Special prayers will be held at religious institutions for the deceased and the injured. More than 100 individuals have been hospitalized, many with severe burns. Rescue operations involved nine fire service units and two BGB platoons.
