Gunfire broke out Monday as Palestinians made their way to an aid distribution center run by the Israel- and US-backed Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF). Witnesses reported that, for the first time, Palestinian gunmen were also involved in the shooting, leaving civilians stunned and fearful about their identities being mistaken. Israeli forces also opened fire as in previous incidents. According to the Hamas-run Health Ministry, six people were killed and 99 injured in the designated aid collection zone.
