Three people, including a father and son, were killed after a moving truck struck the rear of a disabled truck on the Dhaka-Bogura highway flyover in Bogura. The crash occurred on Sunday morning near the Shilimpur Palli Bidyut office in the city. The dead were identified as Tapash Sarkar, 35, of Ramchandrapur in Sherpur upazila, and his son Tibra Sarkar, 18. The identity of the third victim was not immediately confirmed.

Local sources said a Dhaka-bound truck developed a wheel problem before dawn and its driver and assistant were repairing it. Tapash asked his son to bring a wheel, and the father and son later joined the repair work, according to Tapash's brother-in-law Nayan Ray. A Rangpur-bound truck then lost control and forcefully hit the stationary vehicle from behind, crushing its front section. Three people died at the scene.

Another person, Nur Islam from Birampur in Dinajpur, was injured and admitted to Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital in Bogura. Fire service personnel began rescue work after receiving the report and recovered two bodies from a badly crushed truck cabin. Police said they were removing the damaged vehicles and goods from the road, and the bodies would be handed to families after legal procedures.
