In a compassionate gesture, former Member of Parliament and BNP leader Md. Harunur Rashid has extended financial and humanitarian support to a struggling family in Faridganj, Chandpur, where six siblings have been physically disabled since childhood.

On Friday, Rashid personally visited the family’s home to provide direct cash assistance and announced plans to build a new house for them. He also arranged food supplies to ease their immediate hardship. The siblings, who became disabled following typhoid infections in early childhood, have been living in dire conditions due to a lack of medical care and proper housing.

Local residents have praised Harunur Rashid’s actions, describing them as a much-needed act of humanity toward a long-neglected family.
