The prosecution has received a draft investigation report on the August 5 Chankharpul shooting incident, where five individuals were killed. Chief Prosecutor Tazul Islam stated that the final report will be submitted to the tribunal after Eid.

Among the victims was tenth-grade student Anas, who left a letter to his parents before secretly joining the protest. In his note, he wrote, "If I don’t return alive, be proud. I apologize for every mistake I have made." His father, Palash, has filed charges against 25 individuals, including the Prime Minister. A police constable, Sujon, has already been arrested in connection with the case.
