On Tuesday morning, workers of a jeans manufacturing company blocked roads in Hemayetpur, Savar, demanding a 10-day Eid holiday, payment of their current month’s salary, and Eid bonuses. The protest intensified after police detained six workers following Monday’s demonstration. Superintendent of Police Md. Mominul Islam stated that joint security forces were deployed at the scene and discussions were underway with workers to restore normal traffic flow.
