JAGPA spokesperson Rashed Pradhan claimed that under pressure from New Delhi, the Hasina administration had previously revoked the registrations of Jamaat-e-Islami and JAGPA due to their stance against Indian hegemony. Now, following JAGPA’s reinstatement, Jamaat’s registration has also been restored — a move Pradhan describes as a significant democratic milestone. He alleged that India continues to destabilize Bangladesh through border killings, illegal push-ins, and even drone intrusions. “Trained operatives from India’s RAW agency are also being sent into the country,” he warned. Pradhan said this registration victory signals the beginning of a post-Hasina era in Bangladesh and serves as a clear message to India. He also paid tribute to journalist Manik Miah on his death anniversary, acknowledging his role in resisting Ayub Khan’s regime and advancing Bengali national identity during the 1960s.
