BNP-nominated candidate Saching Prue Jerry achieved a record victory in the Bandarban-300 parliamentary constituency election, maintaining dominance across all 186 polling centers. The unofficial results were announced at midnight by Bandarban’s Deputy Commissioner and Returning Officer Shamim Ara Rini. According to the declared results, Jerry, contesting under the BNP’s paddy sheaf symbol, secured 141,455 votes. His nearest rival, S.M. Suza Uddin of the water lily symbol, received 26,162 votes, while Abul Kalam Azad of the hand fan symbol and Abu Zafar Mohammad Wali Ullah of the plough symbol obtained 4,718 and 2,435 votes respectively.

Alongside Jerry’s decisive win, the election drew attention for the unusually high number of ‘No’ votes recorded across the constituency. Data from all 186 centers showed 90,156 ‘No’ votes compared to 71,417 ‘Yes’ votes. This significant disparity has sparked local political discussion over why Bandarban voters leaned toward ‘No’ when most other areas reportedly favored ‘Yes’. The issue has become a focal point of post-election debate in the district.
