Al Faruk Abdul Latif, the Jamaat-e-Islami nominated candidate, has been unofficially declared the winner in the Nilphamari-2 (Sadar) constituency. The announcement came on Thursday, February 12, following the conclusion of voting. The unofficial results were announced by the Sadar Upazila Executive Officer, Miz Mobashwira.

According to results from 134 polling centers, Latif, who contested under the 'scales' symbol, received 145,202 votes. His closest rival, BNP candidate Engineer Shahrin Islam Chowdhury Tuhin, who ran under the 'sheaf of paddy' symbol, secured 134,579 votes. Based on these figures, Al Faruk Abdul Latif won by a margin of 10,623 votes.

Following the announcement of the unofficial results, supporters of the 'scales' symbol were seen celebrating in various areas of Nilphamari Sadar Upazila.
